While we take pride in crafting some of the finest helmets in the world, every once in a while, one slips through that does not meet our standards. Any Limar helmet determined to be defective in materials or workmanship within two (2) years from the original purchase date will be repaired or replaced, at Limar’s discretion. Limar Warranty is only valid for the original purchaser and is non-transferable. Proof of purchase is required to submit a warranty claim. All Limar USA helmets are backed by a 30-day return policy. If you are not completely satisfied with your purchase you can return it for a full refund. Nothing lasts forever, not even a well crafted helmet. Limar generally recommends replacing your helmet every 3-5 years depending on your use and handling. While some helmets can provide protection past the 3-5 year recommended lifespan, helmet materials do degrade over time, and helmet materials and technology improve quickly. If your helmet is impacted on a crash or fall, replace the helmet immediately. Never use a helmet that has been involved in a crash, just like how you wouldn’t drive a car after the air bags have been deployed. If your Limar helmet is visibly damaged or has been involved in a crash, DO NOT use it. Some or all of the helmet’s protective capabilities are exhausted on impact to protect your head. Damage to a helmet is not always visible but can be fatal if left unaddressed. Damage can include but is not limited to a cracked outer shell, crushed or cracked foam liner, or any other damage to the shell, liner or core, bubbly or uneven surfaces from heat damage. All Limar helmets have a Lifetime Crash Replacement Guarantee. For more information regarding Limar’s Crash Replacement Program, call 844-998-1795 or email us at care@limaritalia.com and one of our team members would be happy to help. Never wear a helmet that’s been involved in an accident. To initiate a crash replacement claim for a Limar product visit Contact Us and submit a request form with “Crash Replacement” as the Reason for Request. Please include the information listed below in the “Comment” field.

*Limar will do our best to provide a crash replacement in the same size and color. If Limar cannot provide the exact replacement, we will provide a comparable replacement.

Take good care of your Limar Helmet. Allow it to air dry after every use and then store it in a cool, dry place, and clean it often.

Excessive heat can cause excessive damage to your Limar helmet. The interior of a car on a 70-degree day in direct sunlight can reach temperatures of 172 degrees Fahrenheit, hot enough to cause serious heat damage. Heat damaged helmets will appear to have uneven or bubbly surfaces. Therefore, we recommend that your Limar helmet be placed into a helmet case and stored in a cool, dry place. To clean your Limar helmet, we recommend removing the helmet pads and cleaning your helmet using warm water and mild soap to avoid helmet damage from cleaning. Sizing can vary subtly from model to model. To determine your proper size for each Limar product, be sure to reference the “Find My Size” link on each product page. You can find the serial number inside your Limar helmet on a white sticker. The serial number can be identified by a series of letters and numbers beginning with the letter "L" (ex:L123456) that is preceded by a date (ex:2012/10).
